Virtual Farm Tour

What’s it like to visit the farm? Take a virtual tour by exploring our gallery of images.

Welcome to Running Brook Farm, home of Manor Line Ranch! Here we see a view of the main farmhouse from behind. The original building was constructed in the 1800s, with two other houses eventually being built together with it. It's a quirky old place, but we love it!

In addition to the old farmhouse (pictured here in the far back left), the "Main Place" includes an old mill (foreground) which we've renovated and hope to eventually use for historic demonstrations.

The views from the farm are spectacular; some days we can't believe we get to work here!

Meet the cattle. This herd is grazing happily on delicious, fresh grass. Yum!

We love our mama cows. The one on the right here is a "white face," one of a handful that make them easily recognizable.

Here we see a view of the "Cardinal" property, one of the three major pieces of land that make up the farm (the other two being "Hicks" and "Main").

Look at all that fresh grass! (Not to mention the view!)

A person could wander for hours on the farm and still not see it all. It's why we're so excited to share it with you!

Here we see our first view of the "Hicks" property from the old Hicks barn - the one we're converting into a wedding venue. Can you imagine getting married here, looking out over this?!

Now we've stepped off to the side of the Hicks barn to look back at it. Just wait until the renovations are complete!

Here's a view of the inside of the barn, of what is now the second floor. We'll be removing the floor altogether to create one giant, cathedral space.

Imagine those doors in the last picture are flung open, and you're looking out the window. Amazing.

Now you've walked to the edge of the window and are looking out. We just can't get enough of this view!

This area is just as beautiful in the fall - maybe more so! A fall wedding, perhaps?

Fall on the farm includes making hay - cutting fresh grass and clover and drying it in a way that allows the cattle to eat it during the cold winter months when the grass goes dormant.

Speaking of fall...

Winters are cold in Virginia, even without snow. The cattle do just fine in the cold winter months eating plenty of delicious hay - but we spend a lot more time indoors!

Especially on days like this...

We visit each of our herds regularly to check for any problems. These cattle look happy!

We love our farm, and we're excited to share it with you. Come visit us in person sometime and see this place for yourself!
